About the ISEE

The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) is used by many independent schools for admission. Here’s how it’s structured and how to prep.

Levels

The ISEE is offered at four levels by grade:

  • Primary — grades 2–4
  • Lower — grades 5–6
  • Middle — grades 7–8
  • Upper — grades 9–12

Sections

At each level the test includes Verbal, Quantitative, Reading, and Mathematics Achievement. Our practice focuses on Math and Reading with grade- and topic-aligned questions so you can target weak areas.

Prep tips

  • Practice regularly: short quizzes on specific topics build fluency.
  • Use timed mode to get used to pacing.
  • Review wrong answers and explanations to fix gaps.
  • Track progress by topic so you know where to focus.
